Gasoline costs continue to rise and most people in the United States find this cost to be one of the largest in their weekly budget.  By purchasing preloaded credit cards in the form of gas cards and figuring out how much money should be spent in gas each week, the couple can effectively limit their gasoline spending.  In some cases, getting a gas card with a certain company can also have the advantage of getting reduced costs or discounts on fuel.  This will also help the budget by helping to keep fuel costs down.  Especially today as we see the costs of fuel rise and fall in increments that would have seemed foreign only a decade past.

Many people find that their grocery costs tend to fluctuate dramatically depending upon who does the shopping.  Typically, one person tends to be more of an impulsive grocery shopper and the other more of a list maker.  If you were to use preloaded credit cards and load the card for your groceries with the amount you will allow yourselves to budget for this bill, it will help teach you to use lists more often and not spend frivolously when buying food.  Many grocery stores that operate as mega marts will have reloadable gift cards that can be used for this purpose if you so desire.  In some cases, they even run specials that will allow you to save more money.  For example, you might come across a special advertising the purchase of a $50 for $40.

There are more things to life than paying bills.  Sometimes, you simply need to have some fun.  This type of thing must also be budgeted so that the expenses do not get out of control.  Another way to do this is to get preloaded credit cards with the specific purpose of an entertainment card.  You budget a specific amount each week and load it onto the card.  If you do not use the money this week, then next week you have twice the amount.  This is a great way to treat yourselves to something special without ruining your budget.
